When I clicked your link it said that it couldn't find the page and said DNS server error but underneath that there were some links to your sites and similar ones and when I clicked your link there it worked find. Hope that makes sense!
Hi, hope it was just one of those Mr Site moments, I've just logged into mine and it was working surprisingly quickly, so maybe they were doing some work their end.
My DH has unreliably or reliably told me ( its hard to tell when he is kidding me or not! ) that it translates your www.yourwebsite.com into an IP address for computers to find , like a phone book for computers to look up where your site is located in the world :-)
Hope that helps - if it doesn't let me know and I will slap the DH !

Yep Spot on...
If anything changes e.g. the end number then it need to wait for each and every ISP to update from the main databases.
This is called a DNS cache.. You also have a local cache on your net connection at home/work..
normally most take 24-48hrs as max to change..
If you remeber when I moved the forum in march not everyone saw the new site and this is all to do with the DNS
I hope that helps a little
.
