  • Does Anyone Use Distress Inks to Colour?

I use promarkers or prisma pencils at the moment but really fancy having a go with the distress inks - but I dont know which colours are best to start with?!

Can anyone suggest a few colours that I could get just to have a go with and see if they suit me?

    Thanks!

I staretd with a sepia colour by Tim Holtz but thats coz I like things to look old, but get a colour that will go with your work.
Youl need some of that spongeboard stuff(cant recall name)to apply it to the edges of card.

Thanks, I think I might order a few colours in a little while, I am really keen to try it!

Do you like the effects you get with it?

Yep, but you need to practice alot, to try not to get big clumps of colour, tyr to make sure it blends well.

Some of therm are considerably paler than you might expect and it does take a fair bit of practice to achieve the look you want...but it is well worth the effort in the end. Sepia and rose shades are very popular but as a previous poster says you need to look at the colour palettes you tend to use in your projects and start with them.
