  • A quote I thought I'd share

For the last few weeks our friend's son has been asking us to do a "word or wisdom of the week" on our blog. So yesterday I promised him that I would start it this week and in searching I found this and thought I would share it....

"It is better to fail in originality than to succeed in imitation" - Herman Melville.

    Good eh?

Very good, and particularly apt for crafters.

      Yeah, I like that.
I'm always looking for wise words as my Facebook status.
      My favourite so far-

Some see the glass as half full. Others see the glass as half empty. I see a glass that's clearly twice as large as it needs to be.

One of my favourites (especially for difficult customers who've always seen comparable stuff in Asda for 99p) is by the famous art critic John Ruskin.

"There is nothing in this world that cannot be made cheaper, and therefore a little worse".

          Love them all.

One of my favourites, that I sometimes use to motivate myself is "If you want to eat the apple, you have to climb the tree" I don't know whose quote it is, I read it a diary. When I told it to OH he said "Why not just wait until it falls off ?" don't think he quite understood, lol

The saying I found for this week on the blog is:

"Gossip is the art of saying nothing in a way that leaves practically nothing unsaid" Walter Winchell.

            Lol!!!
