  • Selling on etsy!!!

    Hiya All

Iv'e just started to sell my decoupage and 3d card toppers on ebay. Just wanted to know if it may be worth putting them on etsy as well.

I have never sold on etsy and only came across it last week for a nosy.

Does anybody else do well with sales on there?

Your comments and ideas would be appreciated.

    Many thanks

I can't help with your query I'm afraid. I've just been looking at the Etsy site for the first time today and I'm intrigued.

I look forward to reading the replies

Ive just looked at it as well, i'm also intrigued.
How do you do the conversions?
Do you have to list the item and put the price in dollars or do you list it as pounds and it converts it for you?

I've managed a couple of sales, but I haven't got a lot listed there.

I really like etsy to sell on - it's very easy to put an item on for sale and you can mange your stock very easily. It's also seen by a lot of people but not necessarily many people in the UK as it's an American site. Also because it's an american site, everything is listed in dollars. The fees are reasonable too. Any more questions then just shout!

How do you know how much postage you need to add for USA? Do you weigh all your items before listing them? I sell stuff on ebay sometimes (not handmade stuff though!!) but i just roughly guess the postage.
Also what about the conversion into dollars?
When you list something, do you list it as pounds and it converts it for you or do you have to convert it and list it as dollars? How do you do that?
                            Questions questions.....

You need to put the prices up in dollars so I think what they are in pounds and then convert them using this currency converter. http://www.xe.com/ucc/ I tend to work out roughly what the postage will be but the Royal Mail certainly have a page on their website that gives uk postage fees so they may have one that gives international postage. I also have a look and see what other people are setting as their postage to overseas - obvioulsy make sure they are uk based though!!
                              Keep the questions coming!
