Fantasy film

Anybody heard or used stuff called fantasy film?
It comes in liquid form and sheets, looks like that lovely clear/crunchy(like acetate) packaging you can get in gift boxes, in a colour or AB.
Apparently you can make fairy wings from it!!

Anybody used it?

I have used fantasy film before. You basically make a shape from thin wire and dip it into coloured (very smelly) liquid. It then dries to a thin acetate. Very easy to use with good results.

A few years ago it was really popular for making flowers (petal by petal), but I once made a pair of earrings out of it by dipping a 2-sided spiral in, if that makes sense.

Never heard of sheets of it but it used to come in clear and opaque colours.

Hi there, sorry to jump in late.
I use fantasy film all the time for fairy wings (and hopefull will have a try on mermaids tails too)
The liquid form is called dip it, the sheets are called fantasy film - I get it from my local craft shop, don't pay over the odds for it on ebay, they sell little squares for a pound or two a time, I pay around £4 for about a metre.
It's great to experiment with, if you hold a candle under it you get the lovely holey effect, you can also seal the edges this way too, I have just discovered today, that embossing powder works a treat too.
I haven't used dip it, but have seen flowers made out of it (doesn't look strong enough to cover a vast area like a wing, but I maybe wrong)
