I'm one of the lucky ones who's got a grant from my local council and I'm thinking of getting a laptop to develop my website but I don't know the first thing about them. My budget is about £300/£350 so not huge so anyone up to speed?
I've already got a desktop which will eventually go to my son so I thought a laptop would be a change! Feeble reason I know. Hopefully when the kiddies are a bit older I can get some premises to work from so can take a laptop with me.
I'll mostly use it for internet, documents, photo's.
Good I spilt tea on my last one so need to be real careful
this one
but hope that you get a decent one I searched the web a lot before I bought I was going to gt an acer as well but my son advised this one
I bought mine from staples. They do 0% interest for 12 months. I paid £550 for mine which is a fujistu siemens and the spec is quite good too. They did have some cheaper ones. They are worth a look as theyhave special offers now and again, i had £100 off mine.
I have an e-system laptop from PC World and its ok...not had any problems with it but it is small (not that it matters !) But my Mum has just bought one from Dell and it's brilliant ! Everyone that I know that has Vista doesn't have a good word to say about it...but not having it I can't say !

My boyfriend's mum has just ordered one from Dell and got a free printer. We got our PC from Dell and got free double memory - there tends to always be some sort of freebie going!!!
