  • Feathers? Anyone use them and what for?

I have a whole box load sitting in the attic gathering dust, but reluctant to throw them away, and no one seems overly interested on ebay.

I have the smaller 'craft' ones, that are layered up so a dark speckled brown with a bright colour on top..lots of different varieties.

Any ideas, or anyone interested in taking them off my hands? I am moving soon and no real desire to cart them around with me for ever.

tbh if you cover p&p thats fine with me and you can make use of them...they were er part of a redundancy package....of sorts.

I can make a batch up as there are different varieties. There are mostly a pair packed together and say about 15-20 different types. So let me know roughly how many you can rehome!

Hi have a look at the picture above this is the kind of thing I make and I would take as many as you were willing to offer they have become quite popular! Colour doesn't matter as I make brooches from all different kinds of material anyway. If I was to send you a prestamped jiffy bag addressed would that be ok? What do you think?

ohh. I haven't made a dream catcher for ages.

The last one I made was enormous. I took two embroidery hoops and tied them like a globe, then wove in beween for a spiral effect. It was pretty awesome (modest too) but I never worked out feathers in a way I liked on them. I always went for sparkly beads to bring out the magpie in me!

If you would like some just pm me.

                    Hi Sparkly,
you haven't got feathers, fluffy or not, about 4" to 62, 72, 8" long in pale washed out colours, have you, pretty please?
                    AnnieAnna

Just spent half an hour dyegonning bright green feathers to make them match a pale green Elizabethan gown (it's for the hat).
I found out that if you hair dryer your feather it goes horribly frizzy just like my hair does . The one I left on the radiator is much sleeker looking. What's that about then? (Should I dry my hair on the radiator? )

                      Hi AA

The feathers I have are like these, pretty sure there were some diff green ones in the box, not fluffy tho. And lots of natural plucked out of a pheasant type. Also some pheasant ones lays up to make like a knee patch. I'm off to the post office after the babes have eaten (smeared) toast. Let me know if you would like! Feathers, that is, not toast or babes..unless you deal in camels?

Or camels. OH is moaning on about getting old and having no money to see the world.

I've emailed you about the feathers. We'd better stick with them.
