  • Etsy money question

Ive set up an etsy account and find it odd changing my £ price to $ price.
I only want to sell to the UK market so I was wondering if it would be an idea to write the £ price in the description so people arnt put off by only knowing how much it is in $'s.
    Good idea or not?

I just keep a conversion thingy open in Google when listing things. If you are definitely only selling to the UK market then I suppose it won'y hurt but remember that the exchange rate is changing all the time so you need to keep an eye on it.

Perhaps give a '£** price on [insert date]' but emphasise you will not be held responsible for fluctuations in currency exchange rates and that they much check current rates using a site such as xe.com before purchasing.

        I think it's a good idea.

I give up with pricing on Etsy - I just put items at a figure that roughly equals £ to $ and let the exchange rate fluctuate as it wants.

Is xe.com that accurate? I heard a few people say that they got a surprise when they paid through Paypal because XE was so inaccurate, but I can't say for sure if that's correct.

If you use iGoogle you can have different apps. showing up everytimne you open it including a currency converter.r This seems to keep up to date with the exchange rate. I tend to check when I renew as well just in case .
For tghings that are cheaper (£10 - £15 and under the differenc eisn't too bad but if you are selling things higher than that it is worth checking.
