  • Who's with me then.?

I've decided that from today I'm no longer in a reccession, it was the banks and the media that brought on this period of gloom and doom ,for me I've decided it's now over. Positive thinking never did any one any harm but being negative is just to depressing to even contemplate and it rubs off on others and so the viscious cirlce continues.

So I'm going out of 2009 with a bang and into 2010 at warp factor seven.

("It's got to be nearly the end of the year as i've just seen a house with it's b*****y decorations up").

Who's else is only going to be positive from now on then and knock it all up a gear or two ?

    Positive,Positive,Positive.

I do not want any gloomy posts or excuses please.

I would love to be as positive as you. I really need to get my act together and promote myself a lot more. I will need to make money and will have to branch out somehow. I have been trying to get my head around what to make, how to sell how to promote etc. If I could pay the bills with compliments I'd be doing OK, I just need to transalate them into sales somehow. I feel at the moment I am sitting waiting to recognise my genius and come flocking to my door begging me to sell them something. Got a niggling feeling that isn't going to happen though. So yes...positive attitide is needed, so are idea. Been looking at yours and you hsve some good ones by the sound of it. Hope some rubs of on us

      Count me in!

I've said from the start that the recession was made 100 times worse by the scare-mongering media. They've scared people into not spending money.

And as for all these "financial experts" they drag out to explain why it happened - if they're such experts, where the hell were they before it all went pear-shaped? Why weren't they on telly warning the banks beforehand that they were heading for a fall? It's a bit too late now, isn't it?

So this weekend I'm going to the big Christmas Craft Fayre at Great Yarmouth and try to spend some cash on some nice hand-crafted items to help out my fellow crafters!

And I already have loads of ideas for next season's range of pots, which I'm sure will just fly off my stall!

Sorry about the initial negativity....needed a coffee badly.

I have been watching what sells and what doesn't and the two main areas that sell seem to be haberdashery items and toys. I am going to research both areas and see what is practical to make at a decent cost. Haberdashery in particular seems to be full of tools and equipment I could make. Toys I will need to be careful of as there is legislation to beware of. I will still make the other things I do but I need a bread and butter line to have for starters I think

I did two craft fairs, one after another. The first one was poor.It didnt help that the stall next to me were selling beaded necklaces in handmade boxes, with ribbon for £1 each....sigh
The second one was superb and I made a decent amount of money.
Unfortunately I havent got another fair to go to before Xmas but I have fingers crossed that my website will take off. I have had more visitors but no one is biting yet (wonders if she should try a litt;e bait, like a discount)

Carl, I am with you 110%!!

I am a very positive person (uses the same energy but is a much happier place to be living in!) and I plan to continue being the same! Anyway, you get much less wrinkles from smiling and laughing than you do from frowning

Anyone who survived this year deserves a huge pat on the back so what is there to be depressed about? Lets start 2010 with a better frame of mind and know that good times are on their way back!

A good book to read for positive thinking/attitude is Money and the Law of Attraction by Esther & Jerry Hicks.

But yes I am all for positive thinking and it does help.

I am very positive Carl - sales are good, we should be able to have a turkey at Christmas, so we will not have to shoot the budgie

                            PMA a plenty here

I never believed in this doom and gloom from the start, maybe that's why business has been booming for me this year! The press made it sound a lot worse than what it was.

                              POSITIVE all the way!!!!
