Hi all
I have just been sent an interesting email on a local business network. Apparently the BBC are doing a new tv programme with Jo Malone and are looking for new craft talent, so I thought I would mention it here in case you don't already know and might be interested in it....
This is what the email said:
"In this inspirational new series, Jo Malone, one of Britain’s most successful female entrepreneurs sets out to find small, table-top businesses and help them to become successful British brands. By the end of the programme the ambition is to launch viable businesses, capable of supporting the families behind them and creating jobs and economic opportunities for all those involved. We are looking for a really broad range of businesses with a strong talented individual(s) at the heart of it, essentially we are looking for exciting, quality products that just need that extra push in the right direction and who could benefit from showcasing it on BBC1.
We are making four programmes, all of which focus on a different category of product, we are keen to meet talented ceramicists and homeware designers who have a fantastic eye and really enjoy what they do.
This will be an exciting and original project to be involved in and hopefully we will really give a helping hand to some genuinely innovative and unique businesses".
There is also some info on it on the bbc website: http://www.bbc.co.uk/showsandtours/b...w_brands.shtml although on here it doesn't specifically mention crafts but the email that I saw on the network said they were looking for crafts people....
So just thought this might be an interesting opportunity for someone!
