Hi everyone, this is a photo of my first ragdoll - I think she's really cute! Hope you think the same!

Still waiting for postie to bring another pattern - getting a bit impatient now as I want to get started on another design!

    Cheers

Just thought I'd let you know its the first time I've uploaded a picture too! Took ages to get it done but as usual threads on the forum came up trumps with instructions!

Really really pleased you like her! Yes she can be called Millie - hadn't thought of a name to date but you've now christened her!

Have been trying to think of things to make with fabric but couldn't get into the home accessories stuff, just got bored very easily - I think having made curtains/blinds professionally I couldn't get motivated with the smaller things. But as soon as I saw this dolls pattern I couldn't resist her! Have now got the bug & am raring to go!!

            aww absolutely gorgeous!!
Did you make the dress too?
Very clever, I couldn't even sew up a hole in a sock

I know lots of little girls who would love one of those.

                    first ragdoll

Thanks everyone- its really good to know my first attempt was so well received.
Yes, I made the dress too & she has bloomers on underneath - she's a very modest girl!!

I think getting the face right is key to her looking so cute! Took her into work the other day & could have taken orders on the spot! But I want to do a few more first to get things totally right then I'm seriously going to look at selling via a website & maybe take one or two to the 'good quality' shops near where I live, & also may try Misi too. Only wish I'd started the dolls earlier in the year I could have been in time for Xmas trade! Never mind there's always Xmas 2010 & by then I should have ironed out any problems with them.

Millie will be staying in my workroom to keep me company, she's definately not going anywhere!!

Thanks for all your lovely comments

Very pretty Perhaps you still have time to catch the Christmas buyers, I usually buy extra things when I'm out nearer the date and this ragdoll would be irresistable to anyone who's got a girl in the family.
