  • Spotting Crafts On holiday

we're not long back from a week on the Isle of Wight.

When we went to yarmouth castle on the wall outside was the most amazing mosaic, the photos i took of it aren't great but I hope they give you an idea.....

It was really long. As you looked at it you realised it was one of those things you could look at forever and still see something different.

my mouth is watering!!!!!!!! oh that is something I really aspire to achieve!!! (don't think I will get that good though!)

I bet it took several people a long while to do. Shame there wasn't a plaque or something to say when it was made and by whom.

I will have to get to the Isle of Wight now!!!!!

I think there was, but at the other end to where we stood a long time looking, my son is train mad so we spend ages looking at the train end, with the ship too.

The the children got a little fed up waiting and were desperate to get inside the castle so I didn't get a chance to see the reason behind making it and who made it. The castle was pretty cool too (but i must confess I was pretty much more bowled over by the mosaic!)

                    Thank you

Lovely looking through her gallery, and now I remember seeing some of her house number plaques around the island - I couldn't really jump out and photo them in admiration though!

I've got a daughter who was like that when she was younger...she always looked as though she was about to get into mischief. My pet name for her was Monkey

PS She's 25 now, and still gets that look on occasion...
