Can some one explain the point of blogs to me? I have had a look at some and maybe I have just been unlucky but as far as I can see they are simply diaries that people use to write things in. I am all for the Internet (I have to be I teach it) but blogs really lose me.

Yeah they're pretty much online diaries. I only set up mine to advertise my stuff really and on my old one gave a little preview of what was in the making stage...
Its rather pointless if im compeltely honest but on the other hand more and more people are using them so.... yeah haha.

I have added you as a contact on flickr. One word of warning though. I don't think you are supposed to use flickr to sell your items, you may get in trouble because you link to a site for selling!

I didn't know you couldn't try to sell through flickr.... Ive just added a link to my website... not listed prices... will that be ok?

I'm not sure how Flickr will work either..... but I do know... when I have been researching (I am just putting a book together on recyling denim for my proper job) I came accross Flickr alot and it was a really useful link to other websites. So having some sort of presents on their..... can only help.... it can't do any harm!

Pete, I think the best thing about a blog is that you have a visual record of your work and when something you made last year and sold last year that you forgot about gets mentioned you can look back and remember etc.

Also It is a free way of showing others your work or showing other how to make.... there are some fabulous tutorial blogs about!!

Flickr is a great way to unclog your hard drive!!

This is an idea for the selling bit.......
Put your blog details at the bottom, then promote to sell on your blog. Many of us do that! Safest way sweet.
