some advice - price to charge again sorry

we had a lady come into work wanting some sizzix numbers cut out
50 x the number 6 and 50 x the number 0 so 100 numbers in total
my friend recommended me and I've got the job - now I know its not a big payer but I just can't decide what to charge
my friend said to me to charge £20 but if you go on ebay you can get 20 pre cut sizzix numbers for 99p so 100 would come to £5 I just can't charge £20
what do you think ???

How much do you usually charge per item?? Just take 10% off that maybe?

How about half that - £10? If she bought them on ebay she'd still have to pay out for postage.

I never sell die cuts so didn't really know where to start

I agree with Boden girl - £10.00. She is avoiding the hassle of ebay and getting exactly what she wants from a trusted source!

I don't know anything about cutting out sizzix numbers, but personally I would base my price on how long it takes to do it. Decide on how much you want to pay yourself an hour and then work out how much to charge. You could always add on a little bit of profit too.

well it took me just under 3/4 hour and I charged her £7 I know I'm stupid but I just can't overcharge lol
but she gave us £10 when I said I'll just get your change she said no you've saved my life keep it !!

I work on about £10 an hour unless it's for galleries and at that rate your price seems fair dependent on where the material comes fro. If like me you use a lto of so called scrap I gues you can keep costs to a minimum. As soon as you have to buy in costs soar.

I was lucky that she supplied her own card so I didn't really have any outgoings only my time
