  • this weekend's Guardian Craft Issue

    Hello crafters!

We at Hackney Knitting Club thought you might like to know that The Guardian are doing a one off craft guide this Saturday Feb 3rd, which includes advice and craft projects for dressmaking, soft furnishings, embroidery, knitting, felting, making and revamping furniture and accessories for the home, garden crafts, recycling and craft projects for children. Well worth a look. Please pass it on!

    happy crafting

    Hmmm......

.......sounds interesting.........but I might have a quick flick through in the newsagents before buying it. You can get serious amounts of stick for bringing the Guardian into our house.......

I'm going to buy it! Normally buy it anyway but will make an extra effort this week - although it will mean that many people will want to try out crafts. Good for those on here that sell craft materials - not so good for those of us who make the stuff to sell!!

        Did Anyone Buy this?

I've just looked all the way through the Guardian, standing in Sainsbury's...couldn't find it at all.

Was it missing, or something you had to send for? Is it me being duuuhhhh again?

The Guardian on a Sat should come in a bag cos there are so many bits to the paper - it was a little book that came with the weekend supplement etc etc - if it wasn't in a bag then someone must have opened it to have a look and maybe nicked the other sections!

            Bag?

In the bag was a little mag with three blokes on the front, and another bigger mag with a black cover. I couldn't see anything else as the bag was still sealed.

Was the booklet good do you know Lynsey?

Mmmm it was quite good although there was more emphasis on furniture than I would have liked!! It did have a mention of Etsy though so hopefully more people will get to know about it.

I sacrificed my copy of the Beano for it - I've seen more inventive stuff on Changing Rooms! Rubbish.
