  • The best way to sell my crafts???

I am new to crafts and have so far signed up for a few local craft fairs, but wondered if anyone else can suggest ways of selling? I have set up my own website through a Blog, but am having problems getting it up on search engines, so at the moment the only people that will find it are those that will have the exact address. Any suggestions re: anything would be very welcome and appreciated!

    Hi,
Good news about getting out to craft fairs! First of all I would put your website into your signature on here - if you go to user cp in the top left on the blue bit you can add it through there. Also think about getting some business cards printed - vistaprint do some for free although you have to pay postage and they come with vistaprint details on the back but you can get that removed if you wish to pay. Also you could think about advertising on here - click on the crafts directory under the grey box on the top left. It works a treat - I've had loads of visits to my site through it!
    I hope this helps!

      Thanks you!

Thank for that - thats really useful to know. Glad I'm making a good start by booking some craft fairs. i'm really looking forward to them but am a bit paniced at the same time! How much do I make? What colours? Lots of things going through my mind! I will let you all know how they go (they are in March).

Make sure that everything you sell has your web address or contact details on them. You could get small stickers printed (or print your own) for the back of your products. Put stickers on the bags you use, have a sign on your stall with your web address on it. As has already been said business cards for people to pick up and/ or put them in the bag when you sell things. I usually print off a small slip with my future craft Fair dates and put that in the bags as well.

Craft fairs stalls are good advertisments for your products, so you should maximise your exposure.

there are serval ways can make your website be known by other people:
1.register as many B2B website as possible.
2.register as yellow page as possible.
3.upload your website to the search engines, just like MSN,YAHOO,GOOGLE.. and so on.It may take about 1 weeks for them to accept your website.
4.SEO your websites, make as many keywords as possible in your website.
5.make linkexchange to other crafts websites.Just like me,i always make linkexchange with USA,EURO crafts websites.

If you have done all of the things i mentioned above,i am sure, your website will be find out easily.

            Good luck!
