  • Buntin Ideas

Im just about to cut my buntin out and fancy something a bit different to the upside down triangle, at Jan's (Autumn Fairie )stampin up party the other week, one of her guests were making a butterly buntin (which sounds gorgeous) but I think thats a bit time consuming for me now as I need it up and fluttering by Sunday Morning, any other Ideas?
I cant think, Im not calm! lol

The other one everyone uses is scallops but I love the butterfly idea. Can you simplify the wings? I'm thinking about those long chains of paper dollies you can cut out of concertinared paper. If the wings touched quite a lot there wouldn't be too much cutting to do.
You'd need material that doesn't fray. Material that will concertina up so you can cut several layers at once. I don't suppose you've got an electric fabric cutter. That would do the job in minutes. They're amazing. Otherwise it would be a sharp pair of scissors and lots of patience.

There was a lovely shape I saw in a magazine a while ago as a curtain frill. It was like a shield shape but curving in, like if you cut the top off a heart shape and was left with the pointy curvy part at the bottom?

                Autumn Rose! That's cheating!

Hey do you think your mum will make my banner for me? I've got this great idea. It's all appliqued and it's got loads of letters on it and loads of colourful little figures along the whole length........and it's going to take absolutely ages to do.....and.......

I was going to suggest leaves - but I see your Mum has it in hand.
