Last year, at an event I attended, I bought some plain metal (looks like silver but it's not) bookmarks from a crafter at the next table to me who was selling them off cheap as she wasn't going to sell them anymore.

Anyway, I used them up, adding different bits and bobs I had onto the end of them, before christmas and wasn't going to bother doing them anymore as I have since made other ones myself (completely different to these) but I've recently had the chance of buying good quality charms and they would be perfect for them but I've searched around and the cheapest I can find are £1.20 each + p&p but I'm sure I bought them from her for under £1 each.

Does anyone know where I could buy them Thanks

Foound these on ebay. I'm sure you can get them much cheaper if you can buy in bulk.

Ang's Attic definitely isn't based in China.

I've used her many times and she is lovely and helpful, and definitely based in the UK.

I prefer the first ones but they are both only the short kind.

Thanks for the links auntynet, that's almost exactly what I'm after but I'm sure they were longer than that, probably around 6" (should've said that sorry) and a couple of them were kinda wiggly. They all had a little round metal link hanging from the hole at the top that you could just attach and hang things from.

with P&P works out at 53p each, has anyone used this seller before?

Also I'd need to buy the little ring/loop thingy, to put through the hole - what are they called?

Thanks goldy, I noticed that too , but then checked further down again it says £2 for P&P to the uk, think the £4.99 is for registered airmail.

Do you mind if I have a look at these too? I have some lovely cloisonne beads and bead chips that I bought a while back that I'm going to use on my cards but I've really been itching to have a go of making a bookmark after seeing some on here. I love the look of the engraved ones...from China!...
