  • Your thoughts on these wedding invitations please!

We have been making my sister's wedding invitations for what seems like forever, but now we have finally got most of the bits we need cut out on robo and have made good headway into putting them together.

Then, just now, my sister suddenly decides they arent quite right and "need something else"!!! But she doesnt have any idea of what!!!

Personally, I like them and think they look fine as they are, but I would very much appreciate it if any of you have any suggestions for what she could add to make them a tiny bit different. Changing the layout around is not really an option as most of them are stuck down now!

    She is a nightmare!

If it was me, I'd say it needs a bit less! But I'm a bit minimal like that. The colours/shapes are lovely.

I agree, sometimes less can be more. Having said that, what would she think about a little sparkle/glitz/shiny stuff? I'm making my wedding invitations and found some sweet little heart sequins which I've just added one to each invitation and I think it adds the finishing touch to mine. But then I am a bit of a magpie for shiny things.....

I love them but i think that anything else on them would make them look too busy.

I have to say ditto to all the above. I prefer things to be on a simpler level, as they tend to look more classy and sometimes more expensive too.

On a totally personal level, I'd probably take out the darker heart, and just leave the fancier, lighter one. Maybe. But, that's just me.

Thanks for your comments, maybe she will believe all of you even if she wont believe me that they look fine as they are!

Rachel, the lighter "heart" is only a heart because it is stuck onto the other heart if you see what I mean, it is a piece of sparklyish fabric-y stuff which doesnt really hold a shape when you cut it because all the strands come apart, but it is fine once it is stuck behind something else. So it couldnt stand alone lol!

Ahhh, I see. Well, in that case, I wouldn't change anything.

If you try to put more on the card then I think it will look too busy. I think it looks fine as it is!

I agree with everyone else - it's looks great as it is. If you add anything else it may look really overdone.

                              Just show her this thread!

                              Congratulations on a fab job!
