Hotfix to Stainless Steel?

I've just had some st.steel lipbalm tins and thought that a crystal or two would add to their appeal.

Am I likely to be successful with hotfix please? (other than kitchen stuff I haven't any pieces of steel to play with - don't really fancy crystals on my saucepans)

What about epoxy resin type glue? It may be stronger than hot fix. I'm just thinking about the amount of rubbish at the bottom of my bag, it's rubbed the name of my lip gloss! God knows what it would do to a crystal!!

(lovely idea though and I'd still buy one!!)

Ta - but I'd be bound to make a mess with epoxy - squeezing out round the edges etc.

I'm now thinking that the only way to find out is to stick a couple on a tin and carry it around.

Why ever not? You could start a glam new kitchen look!

I use E6000 glue, it is epoxy but you don't have to mix it. Very strong glue, dries clear.

I've tried hot fix (no glamorous pans though).


There's a squidge of glue round the crystal - must have pressed too hard and couldn't find a scalpel in time.

I'll see how it gets on living in my bag for a while.
