Hi there - we have a MISI shop, but can't help with etsy. Sorry !

MISI stands for "Make It, Sell It" - you register, get yourself a shop within the site, and Emma (who runs it) does wonders with banners, avatars, shop backgrounds etc.

Then you simply uplad photographs, add descriptions, prices, postage etc. and off you go !

It's quite easy to do - and I'm a real luddite when it comes to computers - and there is also a forum on the MISI site where you will see some of the same faces / names as on here. Again, really friendly and willing to help.

As said, we can't really help with etsy, but would think it is something similar. Perhaps someone with an etsy shop will answer?
    With love,

MISI and Etsy (as well as Folksy) are all handmade craft selling websites.

You register with them and you can have a shop front and sell your handmade items - they do have to be handmade!

Etsy is an American site therefore all currency is in $$, but you can still register and have a site (as I have, along with many others), you just put your price in $$, which is easy to do.

MISI - I have looked at this site, but have no shop, and is basically the same concept, but it is a UK handmade site.

It costs nothing to join these type of websites, but you are charged on listing/selling - check with the individual websites for their fees. Put it this way, it's cheaper than ebay and it's for all those who appreciate handmade products at proper market values.

You will need to download your own photos of your products and download them on the sites. It really is simplet to do, as you follow a template and fill in the blanks.

I've probably missed something, but this is a basic description.
      Take care

I've only had one sale on Folksy, nothing on Etsy.

I use them more so for marketing - hopefully people will direct to my own website.

          I would recommend them.
          Take care

I can't really add anything else to Goldieabs description

there are a few sites ,www.coriandr.com is another new site

I have a couple of sales on misi and 1 on etsy ( plus about 30 sales on my destash etsy shop ).Etsy is huge and I think it is harder to get noticed on there but as with all handcrafted sites it's an excellent place to showcase your designs, many of the bigger and more well know crafters still use these kind off sites to bring people into their own websites.

the feedback you can get from these sites are fantastic, it's lovely to know other people like your designs, plus they are lovely places to sit and have a browse....i know my wish list on misi and etsy is hugggeeeee !!
