Is anyone having christmas 'off?'

Just wondered what people are up to over the hols,those in business particularly I wondered if you intend to have a break from crafting over the festive season? I know I will get sucked back into it, if only for fun but I am going to attempt to spend less time crafting just for a few days, most especially because it would be so lovely to have time and space to play with the children without having to tidy away all my stuff first!!Any thoughts,people breaking into a sweat over the idea of not crafting? Just wondered

yes, im defo taking a break. I think, for crafters, running up to the festive season is ssssoooo busy so its nice to just take a break.

I've had a very busy time on the lead up to Christmas and I keep saying that I'm going to tidy away my crafty bits until the new year and have a couple of weeks 'off' but it just doesn't seem to happen, I can't seem to keep away from crafting lol.

I have already put all my stuff away, not doing anymore now till the new year. We're off to Florida next Sunday so hopefully I shall come back with loads of new beads and inspiration!! Selina

Know what you're saying there! I think more than anything,a break for me would be if all these flipping germs took a nice long sabbatical!!!lol
Just been tidying my garage so I can 'put away' all my craft stuff.Then I realise I haven't made my crackers or wine glass charms for my own fliping table yet.lol it'll have to wait another day

I'm just the opposite - I'm going to try and get some crafting done, but then my crafting is a hobby and takes second place to my office job and family stuff so I don't get chance to get fed up with it during the rest of the year.

The problem that I have is that hubby is a crafter as well... he makes all the candles, so we're as bad as each other really. At the moment we don't have children, so we are free to do our own thing but I'm sure that will all change one day when, god willing, children come along

well, Michelle and I may well use the break to actually do some photography!

We have been spending all our weekends at the craft fairs and not had any time to get in any new additions to the collection.

Gotta work though up to xmas eve and then its a week off ! woop woop !

Just starting so won't be getting the rest of my bits for 2 days. So not taking a break, am getting stuck in.

Opening the market Tues (a extra day), will spend Wed on the market home about 8pm, xmass day off, boxing day off till night time when we will be getting ready for 6am start on Sat. The week after xmas can be busy.
Going to a wedding in Cypress in June for a week, but ive heard there is some nice stones to be found there.

I always have a break from my quilling over Christmas. I don't have a room just for me and crafts so it takes over in the lounge, and instead I'll just pack it away and start again in the new year. Sometimes though I do have a bit of "quillers block" and have no idea what to make!!!

I really feel lost when I've nothing to do. I can't just sit and do nothing. Even if it's doing a bit of finger knitting! lol
I for one will not be hanging up the apron!

I'll still keep on making bits & pieces over the holidays - time off work is a great chance for me to make some polymer clay jewellery, as I rarely get the time to sit down and mess around with it normally
