  • If you have nothing better to you.....!

If this works - look at the video at the 30 second point and you will see a picture of the christmas tree I did for the Christmas Tree Festival in Uppingham in aid of Water Aid - the committee are standing by it. It was entitled "Local Stars" and I had used photographs of local places to make the stars. It was last Thursday (a week yesterday) and the day my mother-in-law died, so a difficult day and I was thrilled to see a picture in this week's paper, but sad that mother-in-law could not see it. Afraid my posting has been a bit sparse this week because of that sad happening - I have however managed the advent calendar each day.

Hope you can view this OK.

    Hiya Cynthia.
The tree looked lovely and what a good idea to use the photos as the stars, it looked like it was a lovely evening.Loved the pic of Santa on his motorbike.
I'm so sorry to hear about your mother in law ,I'm sure she would have been very proud of you and the tree.

Thanks Becky. I cancelled a craft fair I was doing that evening, but wanted to continue with the tree as a tribute to her - it was the church she attended and she was always so complimentary of my photographs.

Cynthia it looks lovely. How fantastic to have it in the newpaper, I'm sure your mother in law would have loved to see it. It was a lovely evening, the atmosphere was great, think the weather had something to do with it, very crisp & dry & christmassy. Had a couple of quick looks around the town but didn't get as far as the trees.

Thank you - it is not as clear as it might be, but you can get the idea. It is now in the corner of our lounge - the only decorations yet up!

                        It looks lovely.
I'm sorry about your mother-in-law. My mum had organised a Wizard of Oz tree for our church tree festival with a 'musicals' theme. She passed away two days before the festival so my sister took the things and set the tree up for her, we never thought to take any photos though, I wish I had now I think about it

I had forgotten to take photos - you do don't you when there are other things on your mind - so was thrilled when I opened the local paper today and saw that the picture of the committee had been taken beside my tree.
