  • What Is Your Craft?

    Hi Everyone,

I am new to the forum and would love to know what crafts everyone has and to see some of your work as well if you can.
I am so nosey and plus the fact that I love looking at what other people can do.

I love anything paper craft wise

I have done lots of things, knitting, sewing, paper but in the New Year I am going back to what I love best which is sewing and embroidery along with some painting onto fabric then free hand machine stitching. Will still do the cards but incorporate more sewing.

I do quilling and do my best to stick to that. A lot of my quilling is in the gallery here (I'm gecko there):

I make soap and bath stuf, handmade felt, corn dollies and occasionally hotfoil printing.

I make various things, knitting, crochet, macrame, paper and a bit of bead jewellry which I don't sell.

I like to call myself a glass artist - posh isn't it.

I started working with stained glass a few years ago, whilst doing a bit of beaded jewellery. But I always loved fused glass, so took the plunge and bought myself a kiln end of last year - I now make fused glass stuff, mainly dichroic glass jewellery.

If you have a look at my blog, you will find my flickr link on there - you can view some of my work through that link.

Oh, almost forgot, before the stained glass I did glass painting and card making.

I think most crafters try all sorts of crafts to begin with.
                      Take care

Hi, I make cards - just as a fun hobby, not as a business. I work full-time and like to relax in the evenings by messing about with rubber stamps and coloured paper - just like when I was a child! You can see some examples on my blog if you'd like to.

By trade and profession I am a carpenter joiner, I enjoy cabinet work carving and turning, over the years I have developed a skill for free form wire art and a few years ago diversified into wearable items which has lead to more jewellery making including maille micro macrame and beading and after a recent stay in hospital where the nurses were getting fed up with wire trimmings and beads in the sheets I've started tatting, I'm currently making some tatted bells and angels for tree decorations

                            Hellol

I like to sew. I love patchwork and quilting but in a more contemporary style. I enjoy making bags in all kinds of styles. Clothes are something I make sometimes.

Crochet is a secret passion ie I don't talk about it much but I made a lot of crocheted flower brooches and little chokers wth crocheted flowers and lace on.

I mainly make jewellry and acessories but I like to use all different processes to make it from traditional beading to crochet and felt making. This is all in an effort to make something different and individual.
