I am indeed slightly chuffed and pretty pleased. I did my first craft fair last month, not the most massive success but I sold a few things so tried not to be too downheartened. . .

I've just been contacted by someone who bought one of my necklaces who wants to buy three more!

They are pretty much the cheapest thing I sell so I'm not racking it in but the fact she liked the necklace enough to want to buy more has made me quite pleased with myself because after the fair I spent way too long worrying about each piece I'd sold and if it was good enough

Anyway, off to do some work on them now. Just thought I'd share!

ooh isn't it lovely when that happens!
i'm so used to selling online and interacting with my clients (e.g on myspace first) and hearing from them after they have bought something, which you don't always get from stall customers.

Thanks so much for your lovely replies! Yes, I did feel a little despondent after the carft fair, Lili, so it does feel more like it was worth it now!

I'm not sure I'll ever stop worrying things are good enough,t hat they won't break or hang right or whatever but this is quite a big step in that direction!

Thanks again for the support and I hope this gives anyone who hasn't had a great craft fair a bit of hope

I had a similar thing happen during my first craft fair.... i was worried that my stuff (handmade cards) wasn't good enough for people to buy, but after about half hour of being there someone asked if i was interested in making 100 thank you cards for her wedding next year
i was totally made-up by that, and it made me all warm and tingly... my boyf laughed cos i just stood there for about 30 seconds with my mouth wideo open
Also, a few people i know have been enquiring about my stuff, so I'm pretty chuffed with how it's going
