Friday 14th November...the day I made my first website sale!

Well, I wil have officially when the cheque arrives!!!

I had an enquiry last weekend through my website, which I worked on and first published in the summer of this year. I must admit I haven't done much about promoting it, as I suspended my crafting for about 4 months and have only just started again. So the fact that someone found it by typing 'mosaic clock' in the search engine is pretty good I think!

The customer has emailed me this evening to confirm that he would like to place an order for a mosaic clock, in red, orange and yellow! Can't wait to make it. Will post a photo when it's finished.

Let's hope there are more to follow and I can become a full time crafter (yes I know, getting a little bit carried away over one order!!!).

oh well done !! I read your post with interest as I am thinking of getting a 'proper website ' in the new years I'm with freewebs at the moment
I notice yours is with mr site how much is it if you dont' mind me asking and is it easy to sort out

Re: Mr Site. I think I paid about £25 for the package. I bought it from Amazon or some place similar. That covers your domain names, years subscription and includes all the software.

To find the cheapest place offering it at one time you can use www.find-dvd.co.uk - select PC and type in Mr Site and it will bring up all the sites offering it, cheapest first.

It was pretty easy to set up - took me about a day to set up but was pretty straight forward - I am no web expert!!! After a year I think you have to pay either a monthly or an annual subscription (details should be on the Mr Site website).

I haven't had any problems with it so far. I'm not website literate enough to design my own so it suited me really well.

With regard to Mr Site, I think you can just by the start up package again and transfer the whole thing to the new account! (well that is what i was told) Maybe someone else could verify!!
