    Help
I am very new to crafting and have some of the huge cards that are the new in thing. Big problem they didn't come with any envelopes. Can anybody tell me were I can get any or what size paper do I need to make some.

Createandcraft (part of Ideal World shopping channel) sell the big cards, so may have the envelopes. They've got a comprehensive website with a search facility, so you may have some luck there.

Other than that could you use 12x12 scrap booking papers, even if it's just a simple fold over style envelope - not sure how big the Big Cards are - are they A4, in which case I don't suppose 12x12 would help. Hmm tricky one, have a look at Create & Craft, see if they can help.

I'll echo what Autumnfaerie has said plus keep your eye out for Crafters Companion luxury envelope paper selection in which they have the right size paper for making the A4 envelope that you're after. Have you tried making a shallow box instead?

Thank you ladies. I have ordered the envelope pack from Crafters Companion. So hopefully I can make some. Mind you not the luxury pack. I don't know how to make a shallow box. So perhaps you could help me again. I am thinking about getting the new all in one crafters companion box, that is on Create and Craft at the moment,do you think they are a good buy for a novice ?

Yes not too bad, although maybe a bit pricey, but you don't have any other boards (scoring, embellishment, cutting etc) at all, it's certainly got a lot on there, and the section for making envelopes and small boxes is really handy, I've got something similar and use it a lot. Plus if you're new to crafting I think it comes with a project book & DVD so you'll get loads of ideas. Don't you get 30 days with C&C anyway, you could try & send it back if you didn't think you'd use it.

I have their purple scoring board and I use it all the time, the only thing I'd say is I didn't like the scoring tool that came with it. I found it too sharp and it also wore down and I got bits of purple plastic on the white card I was scoring. May be just me though! I went back to my bone folder which I wouldn't be without. Does the ultimate board have the envelope maker on it aswell? And actually now I'm thinking, Sarah, the lady who invented it and who demonstrates on Create and Craft, shows how to make boxes, envelopes and envelope boxes and there's an instructions manual that comes with it by the looks of it too. If you can afford it I would be tempted to say get the dvd that she does aswell - it sounds really good. I think she explains things really well on the telly so I would imagine the dvd being well worth it.

I've just treated myself and bought it. Have justified it by reminding myself that I was going to buy a bow maker and a bone folder anyway so might as well go the whole hog and get the all in one
