  • Selling crafts with video....

    Hi everyone,

I don't know about you but I am always working on new ideas and trying to increase the sticking factor of my website. One area I have been really keen to develop is video. Internet video is becoming more and more important, especially now that everyone has a broadband connection.

So I have taken the plunge and put up five videos on my website. The idea is that they show off the craft shapes and give an idea of size and scale, which is often something you can't get from a photo by iself.

    You can see videos here:

    http://www.craftshapes.co.uk/cat_woodenblocks.htm

This is a test and if it goes well I will introduce videos for more of the craft shapes. I would really appreciate your feedback, plus it'd be great if you could play the videos and I can check all the technology works etc...

Many thanks in advance for having a look, please do let me know what you think.

    Sellings crafts with video

I've had a look at your videos - they worked.

I can understand the benefit of the videos regarding size.

If what you say about video becoming popular, then you're way ahead, well done.

Perhaps you could think about a making a video incorporating a use for one of the shapes. Suggest what people could make with them, show examples. This would add interest in the clip. This angle 'may' improve sales.

    Just an idea!

    Hope this helps.
    Take care

Really good idea using video on your website, it made it much easier to see the size of the blocks. You have some great wooden shapes for sale. I wish you every success.

        Hi Goldieab,

thanks for taking a look at the videos. Yep, that's a great idea to show the shapes being made into something, that would make the videos more useful and I am sure would help sales.

        Thanks for your feedback.
