  • How to post a picture on a thread.

First of all you need to sort yourself out an account on Flickr (or other photo hosting site)
I use flickr as do many of the members on the forum. It's a free service and is easy to use.
The following is how to post your images. Instructions in pink are where you are working on flickr. Blue is where you are back on the forum.
    • Go to your flickr account and upload pictures from your computer to your flickr account. (just click on the upload image button on the flickr page. you will get a window up to browse the images on your computer and select the images you wish to upload) Honestly it is easy!!
    • Once the pictures are loaded to flickr, hover your mouse indicator above the picture you wish to post and right click on the image. A window will open and you need to scroll down to the properties option.
    • another window will open and you then can see the URL of the picture. highlight the URL and click copy.
    • On the forum open a "reply" or "new thread" box.
    • At the top of the box there is a yellow square with a picture of a mountain on it.
    • Click the yellow box and a window will open asking for the URL of the image you wish to post.
    • delete the Http:// that will already be in the response line.
    • paste the URL you copied on flickr into the box.
    • click done or load or whatever the term is.
    • Your picture should now be in the reply box.
    Hope this helps!!

Thankyou for that. I have a Flickr account but not being technical I could not work out how to transfer the pictures from one place to another.
I still have to work out everything else on there yet but hey ho, divine intervention may yet occur. We live in hope.
For an update to this information please refer to post 66.

I use photobucket and I found that you can copy the box below your uploaded image that starts with 'img' and then come to the forum and paste it directly onto your reply without using the yellow picture box above that works too. (I first upload the image at the medium size setting).
