A 3 strands necklace with lots of crimping can take a good hour, but if there's only strand, about 30mn including fitting the clasp.
I don't like rushing as I did one last night for a guy who wants this set and did a bracelet quickly to match but I am not happy, although he didn't see the flaws I could see!
That's another thing, an untrained eye will not see what you know is wrong with a piece!
I messed up the crimps by the clasp on a necklace and just put a crimp cover on it! I didn't know I would use them one day!!

But to be honest it really depends on the type of necklace you will be making, between 30 mn and 1 hour seems the average to me.

Cripes, I ca see why it takes that long.

I think because I tend to make it up as I go along and have to work out what looks good, means that I take quite a while.

Do you find making things have got quicker as youve learned to perfect techniques, like how to hold the thread without all the beads falling off while your trying to but the crimp bead on etc.
