  • Cross Stitch cards won't stick

    Hi,

I need some help I have just recently started making cross stitch cards and find I am having trouble getting the double sided tape to stick to the material and card. Does anybody have any suggestions or know of something I can use instead of tape?

    Thanks

My friend makes cross-stitch cards and she uses glue dots to stick hers.

You can buy them from hobbycraft and stationers like W H Smith.

i worked for 12 years as a cross stitch designer for anchor, don't mount using tape, it discolour over time, goes yellow and can stain the aida. use either glue dots, or you can get card that has a peel off side and is tacky, stick the cross stitch to this, then mount on the card using glue dots.

I've used PVA glue in the past, but it does sometimes make the card warp if you use too much.
