Whole Dave is fine. As you shake them up they will break down a little. Don't want too much of a mush as they are fabulous with icecream once strained off to bottle up.

Got given a load of plums today so we now have plum Whisky and plum Brandy on the go for Christmas. Blackberrys are looking amazing, couple more weeks to ripen and sweeten up a bit.....

Will be picking the blackberries soon, they are a bit tart at the moment and then making lots of blackberry whisky as it's Pete's favourite of our brews but I will do some blackberry vodka for me too. We have Quince and Medlars in the orchard, anyone tried these with alcohol ? Oh ad the Sloes should be at their finest in a couple of weeks or so.

If you can leave it until Christmas without 'sampling' you are far more self disciplined than Mo and I LOL. After all you need to make sure it is brewing nicely don't you. If you want something different, chili vodka, leave that for a month or two and make sure you have a couple of scotch bonnets in it, ideal for those little gifts for the grown up kids.
