  • Chocolate rice crispie cakes!

I know it's nearly June but we still have a cupbpard full of easter eggs. (how annoying is it when you ask people not to buy your child easter egss and they still do?!) I'm not a really mean mum, it's just I don't think loads of chocolate every day is a good thing for a 2 yr old!
Anyway i was looking at the chocolate wondering what to do with it and we had a spare rainy afternoon to fill, so we discovered the joy of crispie cakes.
She loved mixing the rice crispies in the melted chocolate and then helping me spoon the mixture into bun cases. We added some dried berries as well, and a little jelly tot on the top of each one with some sprinkles of hundreds and thousands. We got a dozen cakes out of one egg and best of all she enjoyed sharing them out with the family, even putting some in a box to take to grandmas.
There's still about 4 eggs to go...

My daughter keeps turning her nose up at the easter eggs due to the shape of them I think. I think Mummy and daddy will have to eat them.

                        I'm making Marshmallow Crispy Cakes.

It's basically marshmallows, rice crispys, and butter. Yum!
