  • Anyone for chocolate?

You have just got to look at some of the recipes on this link!

Only problem is its a US site so all the measurements are done in cups but you know what they say . . . . where there's a will, there's a way.

Lurve chocolate. Lakeland do the cup measures (or did coz I bought some) so that you can do recipes both sides of the pond.

One thing to be aware of is that American flour has a higher gluten content than European flour. If you make a US recipe and it doesn't turn out right, a useful tip is to mix a little bit of strong (bread) flour with your regular plain cake flour, say about 2/3 plain to 1/3 strong and that can help.

They look fabulous, one thing that was funny, because i get a lot of pop ups on this comp (still haven't installed blocker!!) was that a pop up came up for weight loos!!! What are they trying to deduce, that because we look and drool we must want to look at the weight loss options too. Even if this maybe true it doesn't mean i want to look at them one after the other. I need to look at the chocolate, eat them, feel bliss then guilt then look for the weight loss sites!!!!

Ooh yum. The other thing to remember is American cups and Australian cups are different! (Why can't people just weigh things so much easier!!)

                    Thanks for that Annette.

I think you can find conversion charts on the net for changing cups into oz or grams. I think I put in something like weight conversion charts and eventually found a site.

Also just have to say that the dolly in the picture brought back a memory from childhood. I had a doll the same as that with a cord in her back. When you pulled the cord her eyes spun round and changes colour-very freaky!!!!!

I just bought that chocolate from the TV series on 4 with the guy called Willy producing cacao bars.
It tasted how I expected but at £3 a pop I dont think Im converted.
