  • Most dangerous chocolate recipe!!!

(A friend of mine emailed this to me last night so I thought I would share it, if anyone has a go at it, let us know how it goes! Sure looks pretty yummy!)

How's this for a quick choc fix?

    5 MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE
    4 tablespoons flour
    4 tablespoons sugar
    2 tablespoons cocoa
    1 egg
    3 tablespoons milk
    3 tablespoons oil
    3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)
A small splash of vanilla extract
    1 large coffee mug

Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well. Add the egg and mix thoroughly.

Pour in the milk and oil and mix well.
Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla extract, and mix again.
Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts.

The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed!
Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired.
EAT! (this can serve 2 if you want to feel slightly more virtuous).

And why is this the most dangerous cake recipe in the world?
Because now we are all only 5 minutes away from chocolate cake at any time of the day or night!

I had got visions of the mug being full before you started, but obviously it works. Will have to have a go, but think I will also try something bigger to make it in!!

Just how big a mug do you need? Are we talking standard mug size or the great big oversized mugs? I don't see how you could get all those dry ingredients in a standard mug!

BTW - I'm out of cocoa powder so will try it when I've done the weekly shop. Can't wait!

That was what I thought (but have been told it works!!) as I would think the first two ingredients would fill one of my mugs and no room for stirring!!

I just used a standard sized mug, it was fine because it doesn't overspill, it grows up like a tower! It's weird

Discovered this a couple of weeks ago - it's now our standby pud when I've not had time to do one. Double the amount and do it in a glass/pyrex bowl and mike for 6 minutes. Superb hot with ice cream!
