  • tips please on attaching lining to curtains

i know how to do a basic drop curtain and how to attach the lining at the top with the heading tape but i woudl really like to have the lining attached the whole way around. i thought that i would almost have to join the hem and sides inside out then turn curtain the right way round and then do the heading tape but that seems very complicated. is there any easier way?

I think what you mean is called a bag lined curtain. You cut the lining narrower than the fabric, maybe 15cm, then hem the curtain and hem the lining. Lay them together right side together with the lining about 4cm up from the bottom of the curtain. Stitch one side, then the other. Turn it right way out and centre the lining so that a small border of fabric shows each side. Then you can measure how long you want the curtain to be and fold over the top to put on the tape. if you search on the internet for making bag lined curtains you will be able to find instructions with pictures that should help u.
