  • Remodeling Vintage??? Why did i think it was a good idea.

Well, after trying Crochet again yesterday and bruising my finger (probably down to poor technique) I thought today id do something that has been calling me for a while.
I have this dress i picked up for a bargain £3 which is a gorgeous daisy print. I thought "I'll make it fit".... Mistake 1 lol
Well thanks to cake... it fits so no work needed there.
Next problem.... I look like my nan in it (sorry nan). I have removed the sleeves, unpicked the waist as it was too low (which took a good couple of hours to do) and made it a v neck.....
Trouble is i now have 4 bits of a lovely dress that i kind of wish i hadnt started pulling apart.
Im feeling a bit disheartened with it as i now realise what a task i have on my hands putting it back together and adding a collar, i think a coffee and biscuit is in order to give me a pair of fresh eyes on it.
Does anyone else have a pile of started, but not quite finished, projects you just cant find the motivation to complete???

indeed i do madam, the offending item looks at me from the corner of the room everyday. It's a circular knitted wrap that took me 4 years on and off, picking it up here and there, it was my first knitting project. I have to make some copper or bronze buttons for it and a fibula pin to keep it closed but I just can't be bothered.....yawn.....must make other things instead....if I can be....zzzzzz....

Wow, you should get that finished its lovely.... A first knitting project?? Thats a huge challenge, Mine was a scarf! lol
The need to make other things is always an issue for me, im one of those who thinks its a good idea to give anything a go, right now on my desk i have a half finished lamp shade (hand stitching.... yawn), The offending crochet granny squares, a decoupage project im about a quarter of the way through and this damn dress. Perhaps i should just eat more cake and then it wont fit at all and i wont need the dress anyway.... MMMMMM Cake
