Thank you! Was starting to panic a bit then no one was replying! The handles are ribbon, I spent AGES making some out of the same black material and they just fell apart, so I thought id try it and see if it works, and it does.

I think it's lovely. The heart is really good, and the handles make it really bright and cheerful.
