  • Bloomin overlocker!

I spent half an hour last night trying to thread my overlocker.
Despite everything being threaded up correctly, as far as I can tell it still didnt actually sew the material.
I held all the threads at the back, pressed on the foot, only to discover threads had come unthreaded inside the machine, even tho I was holding onto the ends!!!
    How did that happen!!?
I have bought the instructions to work to read over then Im gona attack it again tonight.

    Any tips?

My big problem when I started using an overlocker was tension. You should have a guide in your instruction book as to how each thread should look - are you using 3 or 4 threads? If you're using 4 it's usually the lower loop that comes adrift, ease off the tension wheels to 3or4.

Oh believe me Im experiencing alot of tension!!!
Oh you mean the overlocker threads.
Yep, Im sure i need to muck about with those.Il have a proper look at the instructions again, I seem to just skim it hoping the exact solution will catch my eye.

Ideally Id like to use 3 as I want ot do a rolled hem but I think I will start from the beginning, set it all for 4 threads and do a normal stitch, then re-educate myself as to how it works.I havnt used it for over a year!

What do you use an overlocker for Peterart?
