  • Shop window card

This card is meant to look like a shop window with curtains in, the edges to the windows are not neat and tidy at all but i had to use what i could find around the house because i still don't have a crafting knife or anything yet.
    Cheers

The rough edges go with the style as it looks vintage to me. Use fine sand paper or a nail file to make the edges a bit smoother. You won't get crisp edges using the files, you need to use a blade or a punch as you have already mentioned. I like vintage style. Its much better than my first cards.

There's a raw honesty about that card that I like. Ain't nothing wrong with a few rough lines here & there, even without the tools you are still producing cards..good start.

        Dave.

Not when you make your own. I use a knife, punch or die cutting machine. If I was an expert with my electronic cutter I might find it quicker but I'm not so I stick to a variety of other tools.
