Does anyone know of anyone / cmpanies who take people on full time to design / make the cards? This would be my ideal job, however i do not want to set up on my own as yet but would love to join a company??

I'm not sure about full-time work and I'm sure that is very hard to find, but freelancing is an option. Card manufacturers quite often invite artists to submit their work, I know that Phoenix Trading is one.

and there are other, have a look around at various card manufacturers and contact their art departments to see if you can send them designs.
