Any FIMO/Clay card topper artists here?

Hello all,

How are you all

I was wondering if anyone here makes clay Card Toppers at all?
As i came across this lady and her work is so wonderful i would love to make my own clay card toppers i just dont know how?? any help please is there any step by step WIP anywhere on the net?

I do the occasional cane butterfly if there are any slices left after I've made the beads up. The alphabet ones are cut out using cutters and then the flowers are created seperatly petal by petal. you can get cutters or just do it freehand. The teddies etc are moulded piece by piece.
We have got a lady on the forum who makes cake toppers from polymer clay.
I have to say that the best way to start out is to get some clay and play. It's not expensive. Just remember that any equipment that you use with the polymer should not ever be used for food preparation. It is baked in a conventional oven but don't cook it while you are cooking food.

Karacter krafts makes some really nice stuff, she is really good. I have made a couple of toppers from clay, i made some baby feet for tiptop. They are pretty easy to make though.

well i have never done it so i would find it harder then someone that knows how to model with clay

i have tried to model a full figure in clay before and it has gone so wrong!

I don't really do card toppers as such, my work is more figurines, pets etc but I am building up a stock of card toppers for a christmas craft fair I'm about to do.

I make fimo toppers but for myself to use on my childrens name plaques etc, and have to agree it really is just a case of lots of practice!!
