  • Embossing Boards, which one?

    Hi everyone.

I'm sure like me most of you will be fans of crafting programes. I am looking to purchase one of the Glitter Girls embossing boards but can't decide which one is best; so I thought I would ask for your opinion.

    1) Bookatrix embossing board

    2) Miniboox embossing board.

Has anyone used either of these. I want to make sure I invest in the correct one.

    Bye for now

I have most of their boards but don't use them as much as perhaps I should. The Bookatrix is popular and being one of the first I would start with that one then if you get into it buy some more.

Bookatrix is very popular but the cards tend to be for extra special occasions only and aren't quite as popular as they once were...many people think they look a little funereal - that said they do make great sympathy cards

Interesting, I had never looked upon them in that light before, but it is good to get different people's perceptive. Thanks for your comments.

It actually didn't originate with me. I thought they were beautiful cards for special occasions and have seen some gorgeous examples done as wedding/anniversary cards , new baby and special birthdays (18, 21, 70, 100...) but several other card makers reported receiving feedback that they reminded people of funeral tributes...I asked a few of my customers what they thought and the people I though might have liked them actually didn't, because of the perceived funeral tribute connection.
