Wow I feel very un-organised I know I need to but haven't really thought about it much yet, have a couple of fairs booked so that's a start I suppose, a lot of the ones near me all seem to be on the same weekends though which is a shame!!

I'm doing Xmas in July and September and will be holding card making sessions during those months....but I try to start in January with a few basics....September usually kickstarts the Xmas frenzy proper....by the end of October I am overdosed on tinsel... sick of cutsey and all snowman, Santa and reindeered out LOL

Michael's is having a GREAT sale so I stocked up on Christmassy papers to make iris folding designs with. They're going to be cards, but rather thick...and with a little prop to stand them up. There'll be a sparkly snowflake or star in the center. I am suffering bad nerves about the wording on the front...I think a stencil and some ink...any suggestions?

Well my best laid plan was to start Christmas in July, make all my stock: stockings, advent calendars, ornaments and cards but guess what don't think that is going to happen. Do have it scheduled in but as always leave it too late each year so this thread has made me get a wriggle on.

We should all play some Christmas CDs to get in the right frame of mind!

Good idea Susan can someone arrange the snow? I suppose I could always get DH on the roof with some washing flakes

                  Hello,

I have just ordered several xmas decoupage sets ready to make my christmas cards with. Looking forward to the project but not looking forward to the winter, spring and summer are my favourite seasons.

I'm looking to start my christmas card/invitation making in September, though I have started making calendars for 2012. Do you think it will be too late then?
I have booked a number of craft fairs on the run up to christmas...there seems to be loads around!

I have already made the cards that we will send to our grandchildren and our daughter this year for Christmas. I have to make some cards up as samples for displaying at work to try and generate some orders, and whilst I'm doing that I'll make all our family cards for sending.

I just wondered how many people feel the same way about christmas cards as I do. I love to send cards to people I haven't seen for a long time - maybe because they live far away? - and put in a note telling them how our family are doing, and maybe some photos - and I love to get the same thing back. Isn't that what they are for - to let loved ones know you are thinking of them.

We started sending a Christmas Newsletter two Christmases ago. We'd never been much of a fan of them because it seemed the people who sent them to us were only bragging about their gargantuan vacations or mile long new boats, or multimillion dollar weddings...so we decided to send out our real life news...and we got lots of great Christmas cards with hand written comments about how the person enjoyed our newsletter - amazing!!

They actually also liked my hand made cards...
