  • Dye Based Ink Versus Pigment Ink

Can anyone tell me the difference between these inks? I only noticed there was a difference when I went to clean my stamps.I had used dye based and the ink didn't come off. When should I use dye based and how do I clean my stamps (soap and water or baby wipes have always worked for the pigment ink)?

Dye inks are generally good for stamping on card and it dries instantly so you cannot emboss over it. Pigment inks are slow drying inks which give you time to emboss over the top if you wish.
