  • Craft Fair update

Hi everyone! Today was the Floral Hall Craft Fair. It was really good. I enjoyed it even if it did mean getting up t 6am!!!!!! My eyes are closing as I type this. Bob is asleep on the settee because he took me and dropped me off and picked me up at 4.30.There were a lot of stalls as it was in a big conference room. I think I remember three cards stalls and three selling all the card making goodies as well as some of their own cards. I was really pleased because I did quite well and had lots of lovely comments about my cards. I had a lovely start to the day because a lady who was selling lovely pottery spent £12 with me before the doors opened. It got me off to a good start!!!!! It was only the second fair I have done and the venue was far better than the first one I did.I had also decided to keep my prices low and it made a huge difference. People were saying that my prices were very fair for such beautiful cards!!! One lady kept coming back time after time and she said that my cards were the best she had ever seen!!! I was so thrilled, it did me the world of good. I was surprised at how many Christmas cards I sol - I only took them 'just in case'. One lady also asked me to make her a special card and post it to her!!!! This was when Bob had come to pick me up and whilst I was talking to her about it I glanced at Bob and he looked really proud! AAAAAAAH!!!!!! All in all it was a lovely day 'out'!!!I spoke to some lovely people who had a stall there and had a bit of a giggle with a lovely lady selling Nappy Cakes on the stall behind me! I really enjoyed it all but am now tired out!!!Sue xx

Well done Susie, glad you had a good day. Isn't it nice when you make a "substantial" sale to start with, helps you feel all will be well.

Great news, well done! Nothing beats that feeling when you go past the 'break even' mark into the profit territory... and the earlier in the day, the better the feeling when you know every sale after that is all profit.
