I would like any one who does decoupage regularly to give an honest comment on this card. I am too critical of my own work and never think that it looks very professional. Comments would be appreciated. Isn't the 'snake' paper gorgeous!!!!! Sue xx
How did I miss this? I love the elf - she's very cute I have an effect you can use for the butterflies. Take three butterflies of the same design and fold them in half. Now stick one wing of one butterfly to one wing of a second butterfly (sticky side together), then stick one wing of the third butterfly to the other side of the first butterfly (sticky side together). You should now have a 3-D butterfly. The effect would look really good on this card in particular.
the image is a bit blurry, but you'll get the idea
Looks good to me Susie love, I like a bit of decoupage myself although I dont often do shedloads of layers unless its a framed photo picture that dictates a lot of layers
What is it you're unsure about when you do yours? I like shaping the layers a bit, curving them so they dont like completely flat. And you can get that effect whether you use silicone or foam pads, you just put the foam pads in the middle rather than close to the ends
Thanks for all your lovely comments!!You are a lovely lot!!!!!!
Thanks for the tips Shaz and Pagan!! I will try both. What I am unsure of Shaz is that I 'just do it' and am not sure if I do it right, if you know what I mean. Do they look professional enough?? I'm too critical of my own work I think. Sue xx

...dur, that should say lie completely flat o course!
Yeah they look very professional chuck and, at the end of the day, so long as you look from directly over the top of each decoupage layer as you place it so you line the next layer up as best you can with the layer beneath it, you cant really get it wrong
Hey, you're a natural, thats why you just do it honey!
I love doing decoupage...the fairy is beautiful and think that you could do one with the fairy and maybe only 2 or 3 flowers/butterflies. The fairy is so lovely it can stand alone too...Love the snake paper too...
