  • What do you think of this?

My 10 year old daughter painted this card yesterday to give to her teacher at the end of term. I think it's beautiful and I'm sad that she's giving it away, so I have taken a piccy so that we have a record of it!

Wow! That is very good for a 10 year old.

Does your local college have art classes on a Saturday morning for all ages? I went to one when I was about 14 and it was great! But then I loved drawing and painting and did A Level and then went to college etc.

But encourage her - its really really good!!

Thanks Tip Top. Don't know about any local classes, haven't looked into it yet. She says she wants to be an artist when she grows up which is fine by me! My parents always discouraged me from taking any arty subjects because they said they wouldn't get me a well paid job! I'd rather see my daughter happy and broke than unhappy and rolling in it!

~Wow - that is excellent for a 10 year old (beats anything I can do !). I hope she keeps this up ... at least as a hobby and I can totally see why you wanted to keep a photo of it. She is pretty darn talented and I hope the lucky teacher appreciates it too !

beautiful your daughter is very talented must take after her mother. i always encouraged mine to do what they enjoyed even if they end up doing something else 2 of my daughters are artistic 1 is sporty and one is a computor whizz kid. only one works with what shes loves and thats the computor whizz, 1 of my artistic daughters is a hairdresser so its still artistic, the other 2 just work for the money.

Oh that's lovely - and her teacher will love it. As an ex teacher I was always thrilled when the children gave me something they had made themselves.
