  • Mica in soy wax melts

Hi everyone , I was wondering does anyone know if I can use mica in soy wax melts ...if so what percentage should I be using? ..thought it would look really pretty for the Christmas melts TIA

Hi Sue, although I've never tried it, mica should be fine in melts. As melts never come into contact with a naked flame you can add pretty much whatever you like. I still tend to steer clear of things that catch light easily (petals, herbs etc.) but I can see no reason why mica should be avoided.
