  • Cutting/Trimming Pillar candle Base

Can anyone advise on how to get a flat clean base on the pillar candles. When I pull it out of mold it is the bottom is not evenly flat

    Any advise would be great

I've not made any Pillars yet so I'm no expert but I didn't want to read and run without saying welcome to the forum

Someone will have your answer, I'm sure.

      Hi Zhiba and welcome

Wonky bottoms are the bane of many pillar candle makers I'm afraid.

I use an old frying pan to level mine. Heat it up slightly and press the base of the candle in the pan until it starts to melt.
Then stand it on a flat surface to check if it's straight and level. If not, do it again until it is.
Takes a little practice, but it's the quickest method I know.
